It does not take a genius to know that the mobile phone theft is a practice that has become increasingly common unfortunately. A brokerage research Well Safer puts into perspective the incidence of crime in major Brazilian cities: are 63 smartphones stolen every hour,when added occurrences in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre.
The research takes into account the numbers resulting from a data crossing of Public Security Departments of the states, IBGE, site registrations Where I was robbed and internal statistics of the brokerage. Occurrences were evaluated during the first half of the year.
The study indicates that even with a total population much smaller than São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro's champion in the practice of mobile phone theft. 27 smartphones were stolen per hour during the 1st half of 2015 in Rio de Janeiro. Sao Paulo is not far behind in absolute numbers, recording 26 steals per hour. However, as the population is also much higher, this value is somewhat more dilute. Belo Horizonte has 6 steals per hour while Porto Alegre has only four.
When considering the volume of theft by number of inhabitants, the study came to the statistics per capita mobile phone theft. Rio recorded 37 cases per thousand people, led easily again. Porto Alegre is in second position with 24 records, while Belo Horizonte appears next with 22. São Paulo closes the ranking with 19 occurrences.For a change, the Rio de Janeiro also leads the average loss of ranking with smartphone theft, with losses of R $ 1,673, followed by São Paulo R $ 1,157. Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre has more modest numbers: R $ 879 and R $ 825, respectively.
