A350 XWB TAM receives full painting Company has forecast receive aircraft in December and start flights in January




The first Airbus A350 XWB for TAM left the paint shop in Toulouse, entering the final stages of construction. The next aircraft production steps include the installation of engines, completion of cabin items and assembling the cockpit, to then begin testing on the ground and in flight.

According to Airbus, the delivery is scheduled to take place in December this year. The first route confirmed by TAM, from January 2016, is between Sao Paulo and Manaus. The intent is to validate the crews and ground crews in great demand route and close to centers of support and maintenance of the company. As a result, international operations include routes to Miami and Madrid from Sao Paulo.

TAM will be the first airline in the Americas to fly with the A350 XWB and the fourth to operate the model in the world. It is expected that the third or fourth aircraft come in the colors of Latam Airlines. The Latam Group has a firm order for 27 A350-900 models. The aircraft will have 348 seats TAM, of which 318 in Economy Class and 30 in Premium Business.

By the end of August 2015, Airbus recorded a total of 782 firm orders from 40 customers around the world for models A350 XWB family.
