Embraer Executive Jets received on Monday (31) the certification of aeronautical authority of the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the new jet Legacy 450. The approval occurs a few weeks after the aircraft be certified by the National Agency Civil Aviation (ANAC) during the LABACE 2015.
With the approved documentation, Embraer can start deliveries of its new business jet in the US, which is the world's largest market in this segment. "With unique features, the Legacy 450 offers spectacular technology and performance, combined with unsurpassed comfort and style," said Marco Tulio Pellegrini, president of Embraer Executive Jets.
The Legacy 450, Embraer's latest product, sleeps up to nine passengers and is the only in its class (mid-size) to have a cabin with 1.83 meters in height and floor plan, allowing occupants to stand up in interior.
The new Embraer jet is also the first in its class equipped with fly-by-wire controls technology, which increases the aircraft's level of automation and thereby facilitates the pilot's work. "The digital control promotes smooth flight, increases performance and reduces pilot workload," said Pellegrini manufacturer in a statement.
The Legacy 450 can fly at 1017 km / h, while cruising speed is lower (Embraer)
Legacy 450 is the smallest model of the Legacy family, which still has the variants 500, 600 and 650 for up to 15 passengers. The new model, up to nine people, measures 19 meters long and 20 m wingspan (the Legacy 650 is 26 m long and 21 m wingspan) and has approximate range of 4630 km, which allows for international travel .
The aircraft has two Honeywell turbofan engines, each capable of generating up to 6080 pounds of pull and has relatively low fuel consumption - about 841 kg burning fuel in a 555 km trip.
The Legacy 450 is also one of the fastest business jet in the world and can fly at 1017 km / h. The model, however, flies in cruising speed of 885 km / h and can reach an altitude of up to 13,720 meters.
The new Embraer aircraft can also operate in small airfields, in need of 1,220 meters to take off and just 700 m for landing. The Legacy 450 is valued at about $ 17 million.
