According to sources of US intelligence, through a statement from the Pentagon, Moscow is developing an "underwater unmanned vehicle" (UUV, its acronym in English), capable of carrying nuclear weapons of great destructive scale.
It is a self-sufficient vehicle attack, equipped with nuclear warheads and part of the arms modernization program in Russia. "It's an unmanned submarine that will speed and ability to travel long distances," said one intelligence official to The Washington Times.
An American analyst suspected that the submarine drone can take inspiration in a torpedo from the Soviet era, the T-15, which was developed in the wake of the nuclear age.
