RUSSIAN JET EMBRAER WINS IN KAZAKHSTAN Company SCAT announces decision by the Sukhoi Superjet 100, dismissing Embraer jets and Bombardier

With some of the most advanced small and medium-sized jets of today, Embraer rarely misses a market dispute.When this happens, the main executioner of the Brazilian manufacturer is the Canadian Bombardier. However, in a recent competition in Kazakhstan, the two companies were desbancadas by the Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 with, considered an inferior aircraft to other models that were in the competition.

The SCAT company, which only makes charter flights abroad, refused the Embraer 170 and 190 in addition to the Bombardier CRJ1000, due to additional tariffs, which would make it the most expensive acquisition in relation to the jet manufactured by Sukhoi, which still has little tradition in the commercial aircraft market - the company's strong is the military.

In all, the Kazakh company acquired 15 models Superjet 100 through leasing. The values ​​in the transaction, however, were not disclosed.

Sukhoi Superjet 100

Presented in 2008, the Sukhoi Superjet100 dispute the aircraft market with capacity between 75 and 100 passengers, usually used on domestic routes. Development of the aircraft began in 2000 and included the participation of the Italian Alenia Aermacchi and Boeing, which advised. The device, however, still rare in Western countries, with the majority of its users Asian companies and Russia.

The jet Sukhoi as well as models of Embraer, is equipped with fly-by-wire controls, which increases the level of automation of the aircraft. The model, however, does not yet have winglets, a feature installed on the edge of the wings which increases the stability and reduces fuel consumption. According to the Russian manufacturer, Superjet100 can fly at cruise speed of 870 km / h and has the autonomy to travel 4580 km.

The Sukhoi commercial aircraft gained worldwide notoriety in 2012 when a demonstration model for potential customers fell in Jakarta, Indonesia, killing all 37 passengers and eight crew members on board.

Despite the setback and scratched image, which forced the Sukhoi to return to the drawing board to fix all the problems Superjet100, about 100 units have been produced and delivered to their operators. No other model crashed since.
