Boeing Delivers 100th 787 produced in South Carolina

The Boeing South Carolina held another significant milestone today delivered the 100th Dreamliner produced on site. The plane, a 787-8, was delivered to American Airlines in front of hundreds of Boeing employees in South Carolina.

"Reaching this milestone is a demonstration of the hard work and dedication of our entire team," said Beverly Wyse , vice president and general manager of Boeing South Carolina.

The delivery today marked the first 787 destined for American Airlines and Boeing produced in South Carolina. The company has more than 28 Dreamliners on order with Boeing.

"The 787 has quickly become an important part of our fleet, allowing fly to new places like Auckland in New Zealand ," said Chuck Schubert , vice president of Network Planning at American Airlines.
