Embraer has just held the Roll Out of its first new generation aircraft in the family of Ejets. At a ceremony from 10 am (GMT), the Ejet E190-E2 was presented to an audience composed of Embraer's employees, press and employees.
Other aircraft took part in the presentation, Phenom 300, Legacy 550, Legacy 600, Ipanema, EMB-120 Brasilia, Ejet E1 and KC-390. In addition to these aircraft Smoke Squadron, equipped with the A29, which held a joint presentation with the KC before opening the gates of the hangar to receive the new generation Embraer.
"Today we have taken another step into the future Embraer commercial aviation with the world premiere of our second generation E-Jets," said Paulo Cesar Silva, President & CEO, Embraer Commercial Aviation. "I'm sure that from this event, the interest of the market by E2 grow further, increasing the commercial success of this program throughout the world."
The Eject E2 comprises three similar variants in the current nomenclature, is the E175-E2 , E190-E2and E195-E2 . The first Ejet E2 flight in E190-E2 variant is planned for the second half of 2016 if all goes according to plan, with deliveries starting in 2018 to version E190-E2 , followed by version E195-E2 in 2019 and E175 -E2 in the year 2020. in all three variants, the Ejet E2 has 267 fixed orders and 373 options, to date, Embraer has delivered more than 1,200 Ejets first generation and continues to complete 1800 aircraft in operation current generation.
The Ejet E2 offers several changes compared to the current generation. The engines will be the new Pratt & Whitney PW1900G for models E-190E2 and E-195E2 , getting PW1700G for E175-E2 . The flight controls are Fly-By-Wire with renewed cockpit consists of 4 high-resolution screens and joysticks traditional Embraer, improvements in aerodynamics and new wing were incorporated into the E2 model. Embraer estimates a consumption up to 20% less than the current generation.
