Embraer announced that it will hold two changes to the Ejet E195-E2 project will first be added to over 2000 kg MTOW estimated project, while the wing will increase 1.4 meters to improve performance in areas with high altitude.

The maximum range for the new Ejet E195-E2 becomes of 4600km theoretically, an increase of almost 800km compared to the initial project.
The president of Embraer Commercial Aviation, Paulo Cesar Silva, said the first E190-E2 flight will take place "as soon as possible ... the first half of 2016". The first flight to the E195-E2 will occur in 2017, with first delivery in 2019, and first flight for the E175-E2 will happen in 2018, with deliveries to begin in 2020.
