For non-payment, GOL suspends flights to Venezuela

GOL Linhas reported on the 9th that would indefinitely canceling its flights to Caracas, Venezuela. The main cause was the airline's money blocking the country, due to restrictions of local government as a whole is 400 million dollars that the Venezuelan government blocked in the country, not allowing the transfer to GOL in Brazil.

Currently, the Company operated only two weekly flights to Caracas with the 737, much of the reduction in route is due to blockages that were already taking place in the country.Customers who were affected by the cancellation are being resettled in other flights to Caracas, or they can get their money back.

IATA estimates that about $ 4 billion from other companies would be locked in Venezuela, the recommended is that companies use the money to buy assets or properties, and ensure that no loss while the case does not proceed.
