The Bombardier Challenger 650 has received the European Aviation Safety Agency Type Certificate (EASA), the European airworthiness authority. It is expected that the first aircraft to be delivered on the continent this year. Model derived from the series Challenger 600, became the family with the largest number of deliveries in its category in Europe.
Compared to previous models, the Challenger 650 has undergone updates to improve performance and interior design. The cabin was completely redesigned, keeping as the largest in its class, with 7.8 meters long and can carry up to 10 passengers. Now all seats are fully reclining and are equipped with folding footrests that can join, creating a bed. The entertainment system also offers greater interactivity with audio and video systems individually controlled by screens with touch screen system available at every seat. The interior of the Challenger 650 also has a private toilet and a fully equipped galley and ability to prepare a veritable feast on board.
Bombardier Vision flight deck was developed exclusively for the aircraft and has some innovations to the Challenger series, such as weather radar with Multiscan technology, synthetic vision system and an integrated flight information, digital voice recording and data, among others .
Powered by two GE engines CF34-3B MTO, 9,220 lbf (41kN) of thrust each. The cruising speed is Mach 0.82, while the economical cruise Mach is 0.74. Moreover, the jet capacity for extra load and maximum range of 4000 nm (7408 km).
