RIOGaleão Airport starts companies transfer



The RIOgaleão began on 28/03 the migration process of international airlines from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, which will be completed before the Olympic Games. The first company to join the change will be the Condor airline performs flights from Rio de Janeiro to Frankfurt always on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The German company's check-in will be held from this Tuesday (29) in Terminal 2, and the disembarkation of passengers this company.

The process is part of the transformation that takes place in the Tom Jobim International Airport including the opening of the new boarding area 100 thousand square meters, 26 new boarding bridges, a new shopping area and more comfort, practicality and flexibility for passengers. The new pier will be used mainly to international flights. By 2017, the processing of domestic and international passengers (check-in and baggage) will be concentrated in Terminal 2, and then the flow will be distributed to the 58 boarding bridges in the terminal 2, the terminal 1 or the south pier .Changes will be made and communicated in phases.
