TAM will cut frequencies in several international flights


TAM announced cuts in some international frequencies out of Brasilia, Fortaleza, Manaus, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The main cause of the cancellations may be due to high dollar, which reduced travel demand abroad.

In Brasilia TAM will reduce, from June 6, from 6 to 5 weekly flight to Orlando, which is currently performed with a Boeing 767-300ER.

Fortaleza flight to Miami will be only one trip a week from 7 June. TAM added a second frequency to flight this March. The 767-300ER aircraft is responsible for passenger transport on this route.

In Manaus TAM will cancel the route to Miami from April 4, passengers had their flights canceled may rebook to Belem, Brasilia and traditional airports Galeao and Guarulhos.

In São Paulo the route to Miami will be reduced by 14 to 12 per week, from August 22. TAM also announced the cut SP-Cancun route to July 2.

In Rio de Janeiro will be removed from April 10, two frequencies of flights to New York (JFK), which currently operates seven frequencies a week. The company also will reduce from May 22, 2 frequencies in flight to Miami, which is operated 7 times a week currently.
