The first Airbus A350-1000XWB, the larger version of all A350 family aircraft, first emerged from the 40 station at the final assembly line of Airbus in Toulouse, France.
The aircraft also has no paint and engines, but already has the model of identification in its fuselage.Airbus estimates that soon will take place painting and soon after the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines will be installed, but first aircraft will undergo several tests in the "Station 30". After that, the aircraft will have installed the cabin accessories and will finally be delivered to the Testing Center in Flight.
This aircraft, the first test aircraft will have its maiden flight in the last half of 2016, according to the estimate of Airbus, with deliveries expected to occur already in mid 2017. To date, Airbus has secured orders for 181 aircraft, from 10 customers. The launch customer is scheduled for Qatar Airways, which was also the launch customer of version -900 .
Other large A350-1000 customers are United Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, British Airways and TAM, which has orders for 12 aircraft to be received from 2018. Other companies like Blue and Avianca also ordered some units of the A350 -900XWB aircraft of the same family but with less capacity and greater range.
As stated above, currently A350-1000XWB is the option with higher capacity in a twin-engine Airbus aircraft in standard configuration the manufacturer -1000 supports 366 passengers in three classes, as well similar to the current Boeing 777-300ER. Its range is 14800km according to Airbus and is powered by two motors Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97, which is also designed to have a power increment when compared with other A350 family aircraft.
