JetBlue receives first Airbus aircraft produced in the US

The first delivery an aircraft produced in an assembly plant of Airbus in the United States was held today, April 25 in Mobile, Alabama. The entire staff of the American assembly line gathered to present its first finished product, an Airbus A321, designed to JetBlue. On the occasion attended several executives of Airbus and senior management JetBlue, including President and CEO Robin Hayes.

"I am immensely proud to be here to participate in this first delivery," said John Leahy, CEO of Airbus customers.

Airbus announced its commitment to build an assembly line in Mobile, Alabama, in 2012, and less than a year later began the drive to build the unity of US $ 600 million. The ceremonial inauguration of the plant came to took place in September 2015. The A321 JetBlue has already made its first flight on March 21, 2016.

In addition to JetBlue's A321 delivered today, there are currently nine other A320 family aircraft on the production line. Airbus will deliver up to four aircraft per month by the end of 2017. For now the American plant is scheduled to produce aircraft of the previous generation (CEO), but from 2017 it will produce A320neo family aircraft.

Airbus also announced that 87% of your new employees at American unity are the Gulf Coast region, with nearly a third being military veterans in the United States.
