TAP will be the first to receive the new Airbus A330neo

TAP Portugal has signed an agreement with Airbus to be the launch customer for the A330neo, the newest aircraft wide-body of the European manufacturer. TAP will also be the first who was willing to use the new concept Air Space, as announced by Aeroflap last week, which incorporates a new type of lighting LEDs, combined with a different design for the aircraft interior and modern entertainment system and advanced.

Last year TAP had an exchange of its order book at Airbus, 12 A350-900XWB were changed to 14 A330-900neo, which according to TAP at the time, is a more suitable aircraft for the long reach of proposal company. Also they were ordered 15 A320neo and 24 A321neo to strengthen the route of aircraft narrow body company.

Airbus is confident it will be able to deliver the first unit of the A330neo until the end of 2017, already with the new interior Air Space. By the time the manufacturer works on the assembly of the first prototype tests, which according to the agenda of Airbus, will still fly this year.
