Data released by Abear (Brazilian Association of Airline) show that the demand for domestic flights in Brazil fell again in January 2016. The decrease was 4% compared with the same period last year. This is the worst result for January on record in the series that began in October 2012. Complete, also, a series of six consecutive monthly low air demand.
The decline in demand was for the fifth time in the last six months, higher than the supply, reduced by 2.4% in January. Thus, the load factor fell by 1.41 percentage point, standing at 83.18%. some were conducted over 9 million domestic trips in the month, representing a decrease of almost 2% in the total volume. The numbers are the compilation of statistics Avianca, Azul, Gol and Tam, responsible for 99% of the domestic market.

In January the share of the domestic market by companies got GOL holding 38.62%, followed by Tam with 34.36%, 17.28% and Blue with Avianca with 9.74%.
In the international market, in January the international air transport offer for Brazilian companies increased by 6.1% over the same month last year. The move has met a demand that has evolved a bit more strongly, up 7.2%. This behavior of the market allowed an improvement of the load factor of the operations 0.89 percentage point, reaching 85.25%.
