Airbus received 14 orders for the A330neo, which came from an undisclosed customer for the manufacturer, the order is to -900neo units, the largest aircraft available for sale the new generation A330. The order was carried out during the Singapore Airshow, which takes place this week at Changi Airport.
So far only managed 170 Airbus orders for the larger version of the A330neo, which was launched during the Farnborough in 2014. The A330neo is the latest next-generation family member of Airbus, with first deliveries scheduled to begin in the 4th quarter of 2017. the A330neo incorporates latest generation engines from Rolls-Royce Trent 7000, manufactured exclusively for aircraft, improved aerodynamics and new cabin features.
The A330neo reduces fuel consumption by 14% per seat in relation to the previous model, making it more efficient. Besides greater fuel savings, A330neo is also benefited by an increased range of around 400 nautical miles in the version -800.
