Embraer confirmed it has reached an agreement to supply materials in the defense sector the company, this includes land use radar, datalink system and Super Tucano aircraft (A-29). The contract system is ideal for monitoring borders, with several radars and light attack aircraft.
The CEO of Embraer Defense and Security, Jackson Schneider, not directly stated who the client, merely said it would be a developing country. The first production aircraft is estimated to take place in three years.
In Singapore Airshow Embraer is demonstrating a Super Tucano would be the "production standard", the strategy is to get customers in Asia, which is a high demand location for the defense segment. Embraer Defense recently gave A29 units in Afghanistan and Indonesia received order for 16 A-29.
Correspondents of the fair, visitors are very interested in the KC-390 project that Embraer is developing along with the FAB, thanks to flexibility and modernity of an aircraft of this type.
