The main runway at Gatwick Airport in London was closed due to a loss of oil from a Boeing 747-400 of Virgin Airlines. The incident happened this morning around 10:30 (UTC 0) forced the airport to enable 08L / 29R runway.
Many flights were diverted to the airport in Southampton and the number of flights delayed was increasing.
Currently operations are returning to normal.
