Iron Maiden presents the new Ed Force One - A Boeing 747


The band Iron Maiden presented at that time the new Ed Force One, which will carry the band on their new tour. The Boeing 747 was demonstrated with its new colors at Cardiff Airport in the UK, where the band part to his tour in 2016.

The new aircraft, a Boeing 747-400, is greater than that used previously, a Boeing 757, and pass the total of 35 countries and will travel for 88,500 kilometers during The Book of Souls World Tour in 2016. The aircraft is configured to have interior with seat bed, which allows everyone on the team a good night's sleep aboard the aircraft, besides carrying 12 tons of band equipment for the shows.

For the first time Ed Force One will be a support for the band during a tour in Europe, all shows that Iron Maiden perform on the European continent the 747 will go to assist the band and transport equipment. The pilot will be Bruce Dickinson, who learned to fly in Cardiff Aviation, its own aircraft maintenance company, which now has a simulator of 747 especially for use of Dickinson.

The aircraft will pass through Brazil during the days 17 to March 26, the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Fortaleza, where the band will perform with The Book of Souls World Tour. In Portugal, the band will perform only one show in Lisbon, which is scheduled for July 11.
