Amazon has signed an agreement of interest to the Air Transport Services Group to build a network with 20 Boeing exclusive 767f to transport goods in the United States. The aircraft will be operated by Amazon Fulfillment Services and partner companies, which currently transport cargo to the virtual store.
"We are excited to serve customers from Amazon, providing additional air cargo capacity and logistical support to ensure high speeds shipping to customers," said Joe Hete, president and CEO of ATSG.
The lease contract of 20 aircraft ATSG will last for 5 years, extendable for another two years. The 767f fleet Amazon will support the delivery of the project within a period of one to two days for their customers, said Dave Clark, senior vice president of worldwide operations and service to Amazon customer.
