Aerolíneas Argentina announced that it is withdrawing from April all its weekly flight to Buenos Aires - Brasilia, an important link of two capitals in different countries. The measure to be taken is due to internal restructuring of the company, which is seeking more profitable destinations where demand is high regardless of the rate imposed.
In the same statement the company reports that will be replacing the six weekly frequency for flights from Brasilia to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Besides Brasilia, other Aerolíneas the destinations also have their reduced or cut flights, such as Rome, Barcelona, Miami and New York.
Aerolíneas will also remove the Airbus A340 fleet to save on operating costs and can cut up to 30% of actual current 12,250 employees. The goal is to make profitable airline by 2019, at the request of Macri president.
