Boeing with 59 on board crashes during landing at Russian airport

A Boeing with 59 passengers on board crashed while trying to land in the Russian airport of Rostov-on-Don, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti. There is no official information about possible survivors, but the site of Russian Lifenews news says all that on board were killed. the plane, which had taken off from Dubai, had trouble landing because of low visibility and went straight down the runway, still according to the agency. An unidentified source by RIA Novosti said the Boeing 737 left 50 to 100 meters off the track.

The Lifenews reports that the accident happened around 3:50 a.m. (21:50 GMT) and, after leaving the runway, the plane broke apart and caught fire. The airport of Rostov-on-Don was closed.
