Embraer Executive Jets completed two years of the opening of the unit in Sorocaba, dedicated to the maintenance and services for business aviation. The complex is considered one of the most modern infrastructure of hangars and workshops in the country and can meet basically all manufacturer's models. In addition to the maintenance workshops of Embraer aircraft brand, the site has still common center of airport services (FBO). General services are offered as coordination of supply, parking stay in the patio or in the hangar, airport service, support services for crew and passengers, internet access and telephony, rest areas, meeting area, VIP rooms, car service scheduling and hotels, among others. In 2015, between airport and maintenance services, Embraer held about 500 calls.
Embraer chose Sorocaba for its new investments in the business aviation sector in Brazil because of the good condition of air traffic, favorable weather, proximity to the city of São Paulo, prospect of improvements in airport infrastructure, skilled labor in the region and the airport's vocation for business aviation. There is even the prospect of the Sorocaba Airport to become international.
Embraer's plant in Sorocaba now has 180 employees between themselves and third parties. In 2015, in commemoration of the first year of activities, the unit had about 100 employees. Currently, the service center supports a fleet of 200 Embraer executive jets in operation in Brazil.
