Red Wings returns all Sukhoi Superjet 100

Red Wings Airlines will operate with the Sukhoi Superjet 100 in May. The carrier based in Moscow will return two aircraft to Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and three for the State Transport Leasing (CLTS).

Neither the Red Wings or Sukhoi wanted to comment on the decision to retire early the SSJ100, but there are suspicions that the Red Wings would be fulfilling the contract agreement in case of debt for Leasing. In February last year, Sukhoi filed two lawsuits against the Red Wings because of a debt of RUB305.3 million, approximately US $ 464,000.

The Red Wings held the first return of the Superjet, the first of three SSJ100 hired in January 2015. Two more planes were delivered to the carrier in the second half of last year, while the other aircraft will be sold back to the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft.
