LATAM Airlines announces traffic statistics for the month of April


The LATAM Airlines Group announced its traffic statistics for the month of April this year, the data transferred is equivalent to all the countries where it operates LATAM brand, they are: Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador and Colombia.

Passenger traffic grew 2.0%, while capacity increased 0.6%. As a result, the load factor for the month increased 1.1 percentage points, reaching 82.7%. International passenger traffic accounted for approximately 56% of total passenger traffic for the month. We can look through the table below, a drop of almost 14% in cargo transport for the month of April.

In Brazil, the result was not so pleasant for the LATAM group, there was a drop of 12.5% ​​in the number of passengers transported in April 2016 compared to the same period last year. At the same time income per kilometer fell in proportion to the number of passengers transported. The international market has obtained a high of 6.2% in April, despite the strong rise in the dollar in the period.
